Website design:

Catholic Herald

I worked with Catholic Herald staff and their On-line Task Force to plan, create and launch the HTML-based madisoncatholicherald.org website in October 2001.

In September 2008, under the direction of their staff, I built and launched a new version of the site using the Joomla content management system.

In April/May 2021, under the direction of their staff, I again redesigned their website with a new look, this time using the WordPress content management system.

The new site is more responsive for mobile users and features other enhancements. I trained staff on updating the site using Joomla, and later, WordPress, and still serve as webmaster, backing up the site, helping with complex pages and new functionality, and troubleshooting.

Cobalt Enterprises

I redesigned the WordPress-based website for Cobalt Enterprise, located at www.cobaltent.com in June/July 2022, updating the text and adding new photos. The new site is more responsive for smartphones and other mobile devices. I also added a plugin to provide French translations of the pages.

Cobalt Enterprises is an AS9100D certified, vertically-integrated manufacturer located in Arlington, Washington, with 88,000 square feet of manufacturing including precision milling, turning, paint, sheet metal, powder coating and assembly.

“TA-DA” the Clowns

I built the “TA-DA” the Clowns portion of this client’s website at www.tadarobots.com/clowns/index.html and have updated it numerous times over the years. I also built the original “TA-DA” Robots website, which has since been redesigned.

Leemark Communications

Yes, it’s true. I built four or five generations of the Leemark Communications website at www.leemark.com. The version you are viewing now is my second design using the WordPress content management system.

Other website clients Leemark has served:

Brucker Company

I didn’t design Brucker Company’s WordPress-based website, located at www.bruckerco.com, but I’ve updated it for them from September 2017 to October 2019 and March 2020 to present. I’ve prepared blog posts and graphics, created/updated pages and forms, and provided SEO assistance. I also troubleshot and fixed a problem to make the site more mobile friendly and designed a custom Customer Portal Login page for them.

Brucker Company is a manufacturer’s representative of custom engineered mechanical and ventilation equipment, serving the Chicago, Central Illinois and Northwest Indiana markets.

Diversified Consulting Associates, LLC

I used a Word Document supplied by the client to create an HTML-based (rich text) email announcing a position at a Chicago-area not-for-profit health system. Proper HTML formatting was used, and the email included photos that were aligned as required, an eye-pleasing design/layout and clickable links.

Durward’s Glen OLRG, Ltd.

I updated the former HTML-based Durward’s Glen website, located at www.durwardsglen.org, from April 2015 through August 2020.

Durward’s Glen is a retreat and conference center located in the Baraboo Hills National Natural Landmark in Wisconsin, near Devil’s Lake State Park.

Gunnar Malm & Associates

I worked with Gunnar Malm & Associates to build the www.gmaengineers.com website in 2003 and updated it until Pierce Engineers acquired GMA in September 2017.

GMA was an engineering firm specializing in structural engineering services.

Lakeview Flooring

I produced a front-page slideshow of before-and-after photos, and made other enhancements to Lakeview Flooring’s website, located at www.lakeviewflooring.com, using the Squarespace website builder. The site was later redesigned by someone else using WordPress.

Lakeview Flooring serves as “Duluth-Superior’s Wood Flooring Specialists.”

Railroad Ron

I created the www.railroadron.com website and updated it from 2000 until Railroad Ron discontinued it in 2018.

Railroad Ron performs throughout the Midwest, playing orchestrated keyboard and singing as part of his musical variety show.

Verstegen+Associates

I designed the original Verstegen+Associates website, formerly online at www.verstegenassociates.com, in 2000 and updated it in 2001. The owner later retired and the website has been taken down.

Verstegen+Associates helped companies improve cost, quality, and response time.

Vital Touch, LLC

I created and updated three generations of the Vital Touch, LLC website at www.vitaltouchmadison.com using the Go Daddy website builder, from February 2013 to January 2022.

Vital Touch was located in Madison, Wisconsin, and provided massage therapy and other body work. The owner shut down the website and domain name in 2022, as she was ending the business.

Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association

I redesigned the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association website, located at www.witruck.org, in 2011 and updated it until 2015, at which time they had another firm redesign their website.

WMCA is a non-profit trade association concerned with problems and interests of truck transportation within the State of Wisconsin.

I have also built and/or updated websites for these clients from Wisconsin and Minnesota:

  • Catholic Herald (Milwaukee)
  • The Compass (Green Bay)
  • Diocese of Green Bay
  • Diocese of Madison
  • Hoene Family
  • inSPIRIT journal
